The modified PASI operates identically to the standard PASI but re-weights or entirely omits the head/neck region. The body is divided into three remaining regions: Trunk (traditionally 30%), Upper Limbs (20%), and Lower Limbs (40%), mathematically adjusted to sum to 100% or scaled accordingly.
The absolute score is less standardized than a pure PASI, but percentage reductions (e.g., mPASI-75 or mPASI-90) are frequently used to document treatment efficacy.
