Unlike the Tegner scale, the MARS focuses on the FREQUENCY of four fundamental knee-demanding movements (running, cutting, decelerating, pivoting).
The MARS captures how often a knee is subjected to "extreme" loads. A score of 16 indicates a very high-demand athlete, placing them at higher risk for subsequent degenerative changes if mechanical integrity is compromised.
