• End-stage rehabilitation for ACL reconstruction or significant ankle/knee injury.
• Assessing dynamic stability, power, and confidence under load.
• Providing evidence-based criteria for return-to-sport clearance.

• Athlete must be pain-free during testing.
• Full ROM required.
• Trace effusion or less.
• Quadriceps strength ≥ 80% LSI.

• 1. Single Hop for Distance: Maximal forward jump landing on one leg.
• 2. Triple Hop for Distance: Three consecutive maximal jumps.
• 3. Triple Crossover Hop: Three jumps traversing a 15cm wide line center.
• 4. 6-Meter Timed Hop: Sprint-hopping over 6 meters for speed.

Each test results in an Individual LSI. All 4 tests must meet the threshold for clearance.

• The "Crossover Hop" is specifically sensitive to combined rotary instability.
• The "Timed Hop" measures power and confidence rather than just distance.
• Fatigued Testing: Performing the battery at the end of a workout may unmask deficits that appear normal in a rested state.

• Meeting Criterion (All 4 >90%): Move to unrestricted sport-specific practice.
• Failure on One Test: Identify the deficit (e.g., poor deceleration vs. explosive power) and target through focused plyometrics.
• Gross Failure (<80%): Defer return to sport; return to high-intensity strengthening.
